Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

    Arrive in Delhi and receive a warm welcome at the airport. Transfer to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities.

    The remainder of the day is free to relax after your journey before your Rajasthan adventure begins.

  2. Day 2 Discover Old & New Delhi

    After breakfast, explore India’s capital.

    Visit Jama Masjid and experience the lively lanes of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. Continue to India Gate and the government avenues of New Delhi before visiting Humayun’s Tomb and the towering Qutub Minar.

    Return to the hotel for a relaxed evening.

  3. Day 3 Delhi to Mandawa | The Open-Air Art Gallery

    After breakfast, drive to Mandawa in the Shekhawati region, a journey of around six hours through the villages and farmland of north Rajasthan.

    Shekhawati is famous for its merchant havelis, decorated with colourful frescoes of gods, trains, royal processions and everyday life. Later in the afternoon, take a guided walk through Mandawa’s lanes to see the finest of these painted mansions.

  4. Day 4 Mandawa to Bikaner | Junagarh Fort

    After breakfast, continue to Bikaner, a historic desert city on the old caravan routes.

    Visit the impressive Junagarh Fort, known for its richly decorated palaces, mirror work and carved stone balconies. Later, explore the old city and its busy bazaars, famous for sweets and namkeen.

    You may also choose an optional visit to the Karni Mata Temple at Deshnoke, a short drive from the city.

  5. Day 5 Bikaner to Jaisalmer | Into the Thar

    After breakfast, drive deeper into the Thar Desert towards Jaisalmer, the Golden City.

    As you approach, the honey-coloured fort rises dramatically above the town. Check in to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, or watch the sunset from one of the viewpoints overlooking the city.

  6. Day 6 Jaisalmer | Golden Fort & Desert Sunset

    After breakfast, explore Jaisalmer Fort, one of the few living forts in the world, with homes, temples and shops still inside its walls.

    Visit the intricately carved Patwon Ki Haveli and the peaceful Gadisar Lake. In the afternoon, head to the sand dunes for a camel ride at sunset, followed by an optional evening of Rajasthani folk music and dinner at a desert camp.

  7. Day 7 Jaisalmer to Jodhpur | Mehrangarh Fort

    After an early breakfast, drive to Jodhpur, the Blue City.

    In the afternoon, visit the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, rising high above the city, and the elegant marble memorial of Jaswant Thada.

    In the evening, explore the lively streets around the Clock Tower and Sardar Market.

    Overnight: Jodhpur

  8. Day 8 Jodhpur to Udaipur via Ranakpur

    After breakfast, depart for Udaipur through the Aravalli hills.

    En route, visit the Jain temples of Ranakpur, celebrated for their hundreds of intricately carved marble pillars, no two of which are said to be alike.

    Continue to Udaipur and check in to your hotel.

  9. Day 9 Udaipur | City of Lakes

    After breakfast, discover Udaipur’s royal charm.

    Visit the City Palace overlooking Lake Pichola, followed by Jagdish Temple and the Saheliyon Ki Bari gardens.

    In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola to see the palaces and ghats from the water as the evening light settles over the city.

  10. Day 10 Udaipur to Pushkar | The Sacred Lake Town

    After breakfast, drive to Pushkar, one of India’s oldest pilgrimage towns.

    In the evening, walk along the ghats of the holy Pushkar Lake, visit the Brahma Temple and watch the evening aarti as bells and chants fill the air.

  11. Day 11 Pushkar to Jaipur | The Pink City

    After a relaxed breakfast, continue to Jaipur, the colourful capital of Rajasthan.

    Check in to your hotel and spend the evening exploring Jaipur’s bazaars, known for block-printed textiles, jewellery and handicrafts.

  12. Day 12 Jaipur | Forts & Palaces

    After breakfast, visit the magnificent Amber Fort on the Aravalli hills.

    Continue to the City Palace and the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar, and stop for photographs at Hawa Mahal and the Jal Mahal water palace.

    Overnight: Jaipur

  13. Day 13 Jaipur to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri

    After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar.

    On arrival, check in to your hotel and later visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site overlooking the Yamuna River.

  14. Day 14 Taj Mahal at Sunrise | Departure from Delhi

    Rise early for a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when the marble glows in the soft morning light.

    Return to the hotel for breakfast, then drive back to Delhi and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
