Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

    Arrive in Delhi and receive a warm welcome at the airport.

    Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

  2. Day 2 Discover Delhi

    After breakfast, explore Delhi’s historic and cultural highlights.

    Visit Jama Masjid and experience the lively streets of Old Delhi before exploring India Gate, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar.

  3. Day 3 Delhi to Jaipur | The Pink City

    After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the colourful capital of Rajasthan.

    Check in to your hotel and spend the evening exploring the city’s bazaars, known for textiles, jewellery and handicrafts.

  4. Day 4 Jaipur | Forts & Palaces

    After breakfast, visit the magnificent Amber Fort on the Aravalli hills.

    Continue to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, and stop for photographs at the iconic Hawa Mahal.

  5. Day 5 Jaipur to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri

    After breakfast, drive to Agra. En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the historic Mughal city built in red sandstone.

    On arrival, check in to your hotel and later visit Agra Fort, overlooking the Yamuna River.

  6. Day 6 Taj Mahal at Sunrise | Agra to Ayodhya

    Rise early for a visit to the Taj Mahal at sunrise, then return to the hotel for breakfast.

    Later, begin the drive to Ayodhya along the Agra–Lucknow Expressway. This is a long travel day of around eight hours, with comfortable breaks along the way. On request, the journey can instead be arranged by train.

  7. Day 7 Ayodhya | The Birthplace of Lord Ram

    After breakfast, visit the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, followed by Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan.

    In the evening, witness the Saryu Aarti on the ghats of the Saryu River as lamps are offered to the sacred waters.

  8. Day 8 Ayodhya to Varanasi | Ganga Aarti

    After breakfast, drive to Varanasi, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

    In the evening, visit Dashashwamedh Ghat to witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti, performed with lamps, conch shells and chants beside the river.

  9. Day 9 Varanasi | Sunrise on the Ganges & Sarnath

    Rise early for a peaceful boat ride on the Ganges as the ghats come to life in the morning light.

    After breakfast, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and walk through the old city’s lanes. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath, where the Buddha delivered his first sermon.

    Overnight: Varanasi

  10. Day 10 Varanasi | Departure

    After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport or railway station for your onward journey, with memories of India’s great monuments and its most sacred cities.
